Magistrate Judge William Holroyd of Princeton, WV; drunken scofflaw

 

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission found Magistrate Judge William Frank Holroyd guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
  • Participated in activities that would appear to a reasonable person to undermine Billy's independence, integrity, or impartiality
  • Participated in activities that interfered with the proper performance of his judicial duties
  • Arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
  • Subsequently pled guilty to lesser charge of reckless driving

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Investigation Commission punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

 

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Billy continues to practice his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Magistrate Judge in Princeton, West Virginia.
