Attorney Thomas Conroy of Meriden, CT; ethical gremlin

The state of Connecticut provided Thomas M. Conroy with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Connecticut Law School.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise client of 3 to 4 year delay in court hearings on habeas petitions
  • Failed to adequately communicate with client
  • Failed to return client’s phone calls
  • Failed to keep client informed as to status of legal matter
  • Failed to inform clients he had moved office to another location

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2015) Tommy practices with the Public Defender at 54 West Main Street in Meriden, Connecticut.
