Attorney Janet Steiner of Scottsdale; repeat offender

The state of Arizona presented Janet L. Steiner with a law license in 1992 after she graduated from Arizona State University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Janet guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Wrote check on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct (Up yours, said Janet!)
  • Required monthly three-way reconciliations of trust funds not performed
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff and/or subordinate attorneys

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Janet’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. She was previously disciplined for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Janet by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2015) Janet practices with Steiner Family Law at 8100 East Camelback Road in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Warning:Janet does not carry legal malpractice insurance
