Chief Justice Roy Moore: Today’s “Dumbo” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Chief Justice Roy Moore

Today’s “Dumbo” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Roy. In the past, he has been the recipient of five (5) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

In a recent (02/22/15) interview with the Associated Press, Roy pressed on with his never-ending attack against the gay community.

In this instance, the Roy stated that if the Supreme Court rules in favor of marriage equality, bisexual and “transgendered” people will then demand to marry two people each,” Roy then said:

  • “Can they marry two persons, one of the same sex and one of the opposite sex?”
  • “Then, you’ve got a family of our or how many?”

Roywent on to argue that no federal courts or even the U.S. Surpeme Court has the right to define marriage. He then went on to say:

  • “You’re taking any definition of a family away. When two bisexuals or two transgendered marry, how large is that family?”

In a inept attempt at levity and to further prove his bona fides as an out-of-touch jurist who is incapable of understanding constitutional law, Roysaid:

  • “I can’t move from my position because I’m bound to uphold the Constitution.”

As we all know, Roy took an oath to uphold the U.S. and Alabama Constitutions. And it is black letter law that the U.S. Constitution on equal rights trumps any state laws or constitution.

Congrats Patty; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Dumbos”; you are far too humble.
