Attorney Earnest Fiveash Jr. of Memphis; ethical gremlin

The state of Tennessee provided Earnest E. Fiveash Jr. with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Ernie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Used trust account to facilitate investment fraud
  • Circumvented Disciplinary Rule through actions of another
  • Engaged in illegal conduct
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of funds owed to client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Ernie by gifting him with yet another complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Ernie practices at 2600 Poplar Avenue Memphis, Tennessee.
