Judge Richard Gumo of Delhi, NY; ethical dwarf

The state of New York presented Richard Gumo with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from Brooklyn Law School,

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Gumo guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to disclose that key witness in case was daughter of court clerk
  • Permitted court clerk to perform clerical duties in connection case involving daughter
  • Allowed court clerk who was going to be witness to remain in court during trial
  • Sent inappropriate letter to County Court Judge hearing an appeal
  • Exhibited bias for one party in ongoing court case

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. February 2015), dick continues to sit as a Justice of Delhi Town Court and Acting Justice of the Walton Village Court. In addition, Dick practices law at 137 County Highway 18 in Delhi, New York.
