Judge Amy Swisher of Fairmont, WV; ethical dwarf  

The state of West Virginia presented Amy J. Swisher with a law license in 2000 after she graduated from West Virginia University Law School.

The West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission found Judge Swisher guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Amy requested and received a personal safety order against her ex-husband’s girlfriend. All of the Marion County judges disqualified themselves from hearing the matter regarding the safety order.

Apparently Amy is of the opinion that it is acceptable to abuse her judicial position by using the court for her own personal purposes rather than having an attorney act on her behalf.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Judicial Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Judicial Investigation Commission punished Amy by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.
 

As we speak (February 2015), Amy continues to sit as a Family Court Judge in Fairmont, West Virginia.
