Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS): Today’s“Bigot” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS)

Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner

After spending two years at a catholic seminary, Timmy decided to drop out and pursue a career in the third most ethical profession in the country, politics (used car salesman No. 1, legal profession No. 2).

In November 2010, Timmy duped the voters in Kansas into electing him as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

During a recent (02/12/15) appearance on the Washington Watch Comedy show, Timmy urged congress to impose a national ban on same-sex marriage as a way to pressure the Supreme Court against deciding in favor of marriage equality.

During the interview, Timmy told Un-Family Research Council President and resident bigot Tony Perkins that federal courts created “chaos” by” by striking down bans on same-sex marriage and now “folks are confused about what a marriage is.” Timmy went on to tell Tony’s low I.Q. listeners:

  • “If we [bigoted homophobes] don’t protect the traditional basis for marriage, it harms everyone, particularly our young children.”

Timmy then went on to agree with his fellow bigot Tony’s argument that that legalizing gay marriage will “discourage family formation” and undermine the black community.

Timmy finished up his bigoted rant by saying:

  • “So now is the time when the courts are trying to rule and might decide to redefine or undefine marriage, it is critical not just for individuals and for families but for society as a whole.”
  • “At the end of the day, it’s children that are hurt.”

Timmy laughingly claims to be a devout catholic. I attended catholic schools in Toledo, Ohio and I don’t recall the late Bishop Rehring or any priests in the Northwest Ohio diocese ever preach the bigoted hate that Timmy and those of his ilk spew forth on a daily basis.

Given Timmy’s overt hatred of members of the gay community, maybe it would be appropriate to ask him, “What’s in your closet?”

Congrats Timmy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bigots”; you are far too humble.
