Attorney Kenneth Berkland Jr. of Norwood, MA; ethical leprechaun

The state of Massachusetts presented Kenneth H. Berkland Jr. with a law license in 1980.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Kenny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise client that opposing counsel had served interrogatories that client was required to answer
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Due to Kenny’s failure to notify client of interrogatories, the court granted defendant’s motion for a conditional default
  • When Kenny failed to provide answers to the interrogatories, the trial court entered a final default judgment against Kenny’s clients
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2015) Kenny practices with the Law Offices of Kenneth H. Berkland Jr. at 99 Access Road in Norwood, Massachusetts.
