Attorney Patrick O’Brien of Omaha; ethical gremlin

The state of Nebraska presented Patrick T. O’Brien with a la w license in 1972.

Disciplinary Counsel found Patty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to return client funds to client upon request
  • Client harmed by Patty’s 1-year delay in refunding $10,900 in unearned fees to client after he had been discharged

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nebraska Supreme Court punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary 90-days suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2015), Patty practices at 811 South 13thStreetin Omaha, Nebraska.
