Tony Perkins: Today’s“Bigoted Homophobe” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Tony. In the past, he has been the recipient of seven (7) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of five (4) opinion pieces. Those awards and opinion pieces are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

On a recent (01/04/15) airing of the Washington Watch Comedy show, Un-Family Research Council President Tony Perkins pled with conservative Christians to engage in “civil disobedience” to fight gay rights law, which he said will force them [Christians] into “involuntary servitude.” (Brian Tashman)

While discussing the case of an Oregon baking company that was recently found to have violated state nondiscrimination laws by refusing service to a lesbian couple, Tony said conservatives should challenge such laws by using “the courts to push back and just overload the state.”

Tony the Bigot went on to tell his low I.Q. listeners:

• “I think we’re getting close to the point if they move to continue to force Christians to engage in behavior that violates their moral conscience and convictions — it’s almost like involuntary servitude.”
• “Maybe we’re coming to the point of civil disobedience, of saying, ‘no, we won’t go.’ They’re going to push and there will come a point [where] there will be pushback.”

Of course Tony doesn’t much give a damn about how much taxpayer money is being wasted by clogging up the courts with anti-gay lawsuits and/or attempts to pass discriminatory legislation.

Tony has spent years unjustly enriching himself by spewing forth a variety of bigoted garbage aimed at members of the gay community. Given Tony’s virulent attitude regards gays, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a “closet homosexual.”

If so-called Christians should be allowed to openly discriminate against members of the gay community based on their alleged religious beliefs, then what would stop a racist restaurant owner from discriminating against blacks due to his/her claimed religious beliefs?

Congrats Tony; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bigots”; you are far too humble.
