Attorney Thomas MacNair of Portland, OR; repeat offender

The state of Oregon provided Thomas MacNair with a law license in 1996.

The Oregon State Bar found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to adequately communicate with client (victim)
  • Violated duties he owed to his client
  • Failed to take necessary actions to address client’s concerns
  • Failed to return client documents to client after being discharged
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Tommy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2015) Tommy is employed by Metro Public Defender Inc. at 630 SW Fifth Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
