Attorney Shane Reed of Jacksonville, OR; ethical misfit
The state of Oregon provided Shane A. Reed with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) Law School.
The Oregon State Bar found Shane guilty of the following misconduct
- Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
- Improperly signed client’s name to release of client’s claims v. insurer
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
- Failed to disclose to insurer that client did not in fact sign release
- Failed to advise insurer that he had actually signed client’s name to release
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Shane by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. February 2015) Shane practices with the Law Office of Shane A. Reed at 200 East C Street in Jacksonville, Oregon.
