Attorney Richard Masterson of Louisville; lying loser

The state of Kentucky presented Richard C. Masterson with a law license in 2001.

The Kentucky Bar Association found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Falsely asserted to authenticity of notarization of client’s sworn statement
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to attend several scheduled court appearances on behalf of clients
  • Failed to respond to client requests for information
  • Failed to respond to Family Court show cause orders (Up yours, said Dick!)
  • Failed to advise client of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to allow client to make informed decision
  • Failed to return client file to client after being discharged
  • Misrepresented (lied) to client that demand letter had been sent to insurance company when in fact he knew no such thing had occurred

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court the punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (February 2015), Dick practices at 1062 Reasor Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky.
