Attorney Steven Megerle of Covington, KY; repeat offender


The state of Kentucky presented Steven Joseph Megerle with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from Ohio Northern University Law School.


The Kentucky Bar Association found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.


Stevie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree


In one matter, Stevie pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Fail to Identify Campaign Contributors and Advertisers and entered an Alford plea to Conspiracy to Violate Campaign Finance Restrictions, both Class A misdemeanors.


Subsequently, Stevie Megerle received a sentence of twelve months' imprisonment, conditionally discharged for one year; was required to pay a $500 fine; and was placed on non-reporting probation for one year.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to report misconduct when required to do so
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to advise client of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to allow client to make informed decisions regarding representation
  • Failed to take any action on client’s case for over a year other than mailing letters to the client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court the punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.


As we speak (February 2015), Stevie practices at 421 Madison Avenue In Covington, Kentucky.
