Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) “Screwball” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ)

Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

For the past twenty-four years (ca. 1991 to 2015), Dave has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough. If it wasn’t for a government check, Dave would likely have been working as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter on West Elliot Road in Tempe, Arizona.

During a recent (01/20/15) interviews by comedian Tony Perkins on the Washington Watch Comedy Show, Dave told Tony that abortion rights activists are primarily motivated by greed, money and power.

Screwy Dave went on to say:

  • “So many bad decisions are based upon who makes money on it, who has their vanity flattered, who feels to gain more power.”
  • “This is one of those debates where I believe there’s people on the other side of the issue that are there solely because that’s how they raise money and that shows you just sort of, I think, a sickness in American politics that it was about the gaining of power, not about doing what was right.”

The country would be well served if everyone heeded my father’s words regarding abortion, which were:

  • “If I didn’t impregnate the woman it isn’t any of my business what she does.”
  • “We’d be better off if everyone just minded their own damn business.”

In truth, the real moneymakers regarding abortion are the Elmer Gantry Wannabees like Tony Perkins, Dr. James Dobson and those of their ilk who have pocketed tens of millions of dollars over the years spewing forth their ideological crap.

I don’t know about you, but I take umbrage to some loser like Dave, Dobson or Perkins telling me and/or anyone I know what they must do when faced with an unwanted pregnancy.

Congrats Dave; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
