Attorney Andrew Werth of Evanston, IL; lying loser

The state of Illinois presented Andrew Dean Werth with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Harvard University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Andy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected legal matter involving four clients
• Misrepresented (lied) to four clients that he had negotiated a settlement or obtained a judgment on the client’s behalf
• Delivered cashier’s checks to clients that purported to represent amounts of settlements of judgments obtained from clients’ opponents in litigation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Andy by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2014), Andy practices with the Central Law Group at 2822 Central Street in Evanston Illinois.
