Attorney Jeffrey Hammerlund of Lake in the Hills, IL; repeat offender

The state of Illinois presented Jeffrey Bryan Hammerlund with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Harvard University Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

Jeff’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In one matter, Jeff found it acceptable to make false statements to a judge in connection with his failure to appear at a court scheduled hearing.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Jeff’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Neglected a collection matter on client’s behalf
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to return unearned fee to client (crook)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2014), Jeff practices at 301 Crystal Lake Road in Lake in the Hills, Illinois.
