Attorney Anthony Wiggins of Tucson; ethical gremlin
The state of Arizona presented Anthony J. Wiggins with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.
The Arizona State Bar found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.
- Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
- Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
- Negligence led to lengthy delay in issuance of settlement check by insurer for client’s benefit
- Failed to respond to repeated client requests for information re: status of legal matter
- Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Tony!)
- Ethics panel found Tony’s testimony at hearing lacking in credibility
Charged and/or attempted to collect an unreasonable fee
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of him law license.
As we speak (ca. February 2015) Tony practices at 7400 North Oracle in Tucson, Arizona.
