Dr. Ben Carson: Today’s “Elmer Gantry” Award Winner Congratulations to…. Ben Carson Today’s “Elmer Gantry” Award Winner This isn’t the first Award presented to Benny. In the past, he has been the recipient of seven (7) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories. FYI: Elmer Gantry was a film about a fast-talking traveling salesman who spewed forth an assortment of falsehoods into his fevered pitch as a way to enrich himself. Put simply, Elmer was the quintessential flim-flam man and snake oil salesman who cheerfully assisted his handlers in bilking his listeners. In the past, Benny found it lucrative to act as a pimp for Mannatech, a medical supplement company that marketed sham products to people suffering from Tay-Sachs, autism, non-Hodgkins lymphoma and ALS. In one instance, the scam artists at Mannatech had the chutzpah to claim it had a “miracle cure” for AIDS and cancer. As a licensed physician, Benny absolutely knew that Mannatech and its owner Samuel Caster were involved in selling snake oil. However, in the zeal to enrich himself, Benny the Opportunist agreed to become a highly paid pimp for Mannatech. To prove to Mannatech that he was worth the money he was paid as a pimp, Benny appeared in a Mannatech video in early 2014 wherein he stated in part:
It is indeed rather sad that a licensed physician would unabashedly act as a paid pimp for an outfit like Mannatech when Bennie knew that it was successfully sued by the state of Benny the Loon actually believes or at least portrays himself to be qualified to be the next president of the U.S. of A. In truth, Benny is nothing more than an opportunist that seeks to financially benefit himself by any means possible. Congrats Benny; keep up the good work!
