Judge Lynn Mays of Baltimore, MD; ethical leprechaun

The state of Maryland presented Lynn Stewart Mays with a law license in 1989.

The Maryland Judicial Commission found Judge Carr guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Ridiculed and mocked defendant and his fiancé appearing in his court
  • Was disrespectful, dismissive and intemperate in behavior towards defense counsel that appeared in his so-called court
  • Failed to act impartially and fairly
  • Failed to avoid the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct evidencing bias and/or prejudice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Judge Mays by gifting him with a complimentary 5-day suspension from his judicial position.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Judge Mays continues to sit as a Baltimore County Circuit Court judge in Baltimore, Maryland.
