Attorney Deborah Boddie of DC; ethical misfit

The DC Bar presented Deborah D. Boddie with a law license in 1989.

The DC Bar Counsel found Debbie guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Debbie sold real property without first seeking or obtaining the court’s approval for the transaction, obtaining court approval to waive the statutory requirement, or subsequently seeking court ratification of the sale, while serving as the limited guardian of an incompetent individual and as the successor personal representative in a related probate matter.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Bar Counsel punished Debbie by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Debbie practices with the Law Office of Deborah D. Boddie PLLC at 1308 Ninth Street NW in Washington, DC.
