Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX): Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Blade. In the past, he has been the recipient of one (1) Award and/or the subject of one (1) opinion piece. That award and opinion piece are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

Blake is being sued by a former employee, Lauren Greene or sexual harassment. Blake had the chutzpah to write posts on the FlyerTalk website shortly before he was elected to Congress. Blake’s posts were brought to the attention of The Huffington Post by a Democratic source.

Some of Blake’s online posts were as follows:

  • “I get upgraded. It’s my seat. I can give it to my wife if I like, or if I’m traveling alone the hot redhead in 12 B in hopes of…”
  • “Pregnant wife in business class with me in economy = waste of 9 hours of free booze.”
  • “Pregnant wife in economy with me in business class = waste of 9 MONTHS of my happiness.”

In a thread about when it is acceptable to eat alone, Blake said: “Hotel bars are for cocktails only ...unless you are single and looking (or are in Las Vegas where what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas).” Blake’s stated exceptions to the rules for eating alone included Hooters and “room service when hung over.”

Blake is the prior owner of a perverted domain named www.blow-me.org. The lawsuit filed by a former employee cites a number of incidents of sexually-charged misconduct. It is alleged that Blake’s executive assistant, Emily Wilkes told Ms. Greene “that Blake had admitted to being attracted to her and to having ‘sexual fantasies’ and ‘wet dreams’ about her.”

A cursory glimpse of a photo of Blake makes it patently clear that he would successfully be sued for merely asking a woman for a date.

Congrats Blake; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
