Attorney Doris Day-Winters of Mt. Pleasant, MI; ethical misfit

The state of Michigan presented Doris Marie Day-Winters with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from Michigan State University Law School.

Tri-Valley Hearing Panel #3 found Doris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Made a frivolous (BS) discovery request
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Doris by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Doris practices with Day Winters PLLC at 306 East Broadway Street in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, which is a suburb of Detroit.
