Attorney David Helm of Plymouth, MI; ethical misfit

The state of Michigan presented David C. Helm with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Tri-County Hearing Panel #11 found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

• Negligently handled his attorney trust account
• Failed to safeguard client property
• Wrote at least one check on insufficient funds account (rubber)
• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Dave practices with the Law Office of David C. Helm PLLC at 598 North Mill Street in Plymouth, Michigan.
