Attorney Paul Leff of Staten Island, NY; repeat offender

The state of New York presented Paul Arden Neff with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from New York University (NYU) Law School.

The Second Departmental Disciplinary Committee found Paulie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Filed false and misleading affidavit (perjury) with appellate court
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Commingled personal funds with client funds
  • Failed to maintain required ledger book for office account
  • Improperly made cash withdrawal from office account

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Paulie’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He was previously disciplined for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Second Departmental Disciplinary Committee punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Paulie practices at 1573 Richmond Road in Staten Island, New York.
