Gov. Rick Perry: Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Gov. Rick Perry

Today’s “Humanitarian” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Rick. In the past, he has been the recipient of six (6) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of seven (\7) opinion pieces. Those awards and opinion pieces are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During a recent (12/10/14) interview with the Washington Post, Ricky decided to speak to the issue of income inequality (Amanda Terkel, Huffington Post).

While admitting that Texas’s richest residents have seen the greatest rise in earnings, Ricky went on to say:

“We don’t grapple with that here.”

In a mistaken reference to Mark 14:7, Ricky asserted that the message from the Bible means that poverty is hopeless and therefore not worth wrestling with. Ricky went on to say:

“Biblically, the poor are always going to be with us in some form or fashion.”

However, that isn’t what the Bible says. In fact, Jesus actually said:

“The poor will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me (Jesus).” (New Int’l NIV Bible)

Ricky’s arrogance in regards to the poor and/low income folks, is synonymous with Mitt Romney’s thumbing of his nose at the 47% who he falsely claimed didn’t pay any taxes.

It should be noted that there is a group of Texans that Ricky is concerned about at to income inequality, and those are the ones that have spent millions over the years to purchase his services as Governor. Some of them are listed in the text box at the end of this article.

If elected president in 2016, we can be assured that Ricky and his GOP counterparts in Congress would pass legislation to assure that millionaires and billionaires would receive numerous gifts such as the lowering of their taxes and elimination of rules governing Wall Street and energy polluters.

On the other hand, Ricky and his compatriots would assure that low and middle income folks would share the burden by eliminating Pell Grants, federal assistance for unemployment compensation, deny affordable health care by repealing Obamacare, and eliminating the tax credit for poor folks.

Yes indeed, if Ricky is our next president, it will be Christmas year around for Wall Street and Big Oil who spent millions if not tens of millions to purchase his services.

Congrats Ricky; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Humanitarians”; you are far too humble.
