Attorney John Gissberg of Seattle; ethical leprechaun
The state of Washington presented John G. Gissberg with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
The Washington State Bar found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to deposit client funds into separate client trust account
- Failed to safeguard client funds
- Failed to maintain required client trust account records
- Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)
- Wrote at least two checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
- Failed to maintain required trust account register
- Failed to keep running balance of funds in his trust account
- Failed to perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements
- Failed to provide clients with bill showing he had earned money paid to him prior to removing the money from client trust account 9 months
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 90- day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. December 2014), Johnny practices with the Gissberg International Law Office at 715 South Lane Street in Seattle, Washington.
