Attorney Sheldon Schapiro of Deerfield, FL; potty mouth bully

The state of Florida provided Sheldon M. Schapiro with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Northwestern University Law School.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission found Sheldon guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while

• Demeaned attorney for merely speaking in his presence
• Ordered female DA to prosecute criminal case even though she had contacted his chambers to explain she had a severe medical condition
• Attempted to force a DA to prosecute case he wasn’t assigned to
• Routinely berated and embarrassed attorneys in his court
• Unnecessarily raised his voice and chastised attorney for attempting to confer with her client
• Ordered DA out of courtroom for talking even though he wasn’t talking
• When defense attorney was making argument in open court, he cut him off and then pushed a button on a device simulating the sound of a toilet flushing
• When public defender asked for continuance, he became agitated and said “You’re going to try this motherfucking case
• Told DA she need to emulate style of male attorneys when addressing his court because male attorneys don’t get as emotional as female attorneys
• Told DA he would dismiss criminal case if she didn’t appear the next day in court even though she was 8 months pregnant

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Sheldon by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2016) Sheldon practices at 1232 SW 48^th Terrace in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
