Today’s “Ass-Kisser” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Johnny. In the past, he has been the recipient of eleven (11) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of one (1) opinion piece. Those awards and opinion piece are listed at the end of this article
During a recent (11/07/14) interview with a reporter from the Lexington Herald-Leader, Mitch stated on behalf of the coal producers that purchased his services in the Senate that, he is convinced of coal’s future.
After swabbing his lips with some coal-flavored ChapStick, Mitch went on to state that he has a “deep responsibility” to prevent the EPA from regulating carbon dioxide emissions at coal-burning power plants.
Mitch then appeased the buyers of his services by stating he would use the congressional power of the purse to prevent any implementation of EPA regulations that his bosses in the coal industry deemed inappropriate.
It is painfully clear that Mitch doesn’t much give a damn if Kentuckians are left to drink polluted water and breath dirty air as long as his benefactors can pocket millions more in profits.
If Mitch can make good on his promise to his buddies in the coal industry as to destroying the EPA’s ability to regulate pollution from coal fired plants, it should be long thereafter that the folks in
And lastly, I trust that the good folks at Peabody Energy and Arch Coal reimbursed Johnny for the cost of the Industrial Strength Knee pads he purchase so that he wouldn’t be injured while genuflecting on behalf of the oil industry.
