Attorney Irving Pinsky of New Haven, CT; repeat offender

The state of Connecticut provided Irving J. Pinsky with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport Law School.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Irving guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Provided financial assistance of at least $6,000 to client with a pending personal injury case
  • Attempted to limit malpractice liability by having client sign general release
  • Failed to advise client to see independent counsel prior to signing general release
  • After client filed ethics complaint, Irving improperly contacted the client and asked her to lie to Grievance Committee that she had no complaint against him
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Irving’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Irving by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. November 2014) Irving practices with the Law Offices of Irving J. Pinsky at 114 Sherman Avenue in New Haven, Connecticut.
