Attorney Joel Ostrander of Oak Park, IL; ethical gremlin

The state of Illinois presented Joel W. Ostrander with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

The Disciplinary Commission found Joel guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Joel converted (misappropriated) over $5,000 that he had agreed with a client to hold for the sole purpose of settling a medical lien on the client’s behalf regarding a personal injury matter.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2014), Joel practices with the Law Offices of Joel W. Ostrander at 127 North Marion Street in Oak Park, Illinois.
