Attorney Ronnie King of Roxboro, NC; repeat offender

The state of North Carolina presented Ronnie P. King with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar charged Ronnie with the following misconduct.

Ronnie’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to participate in good faith in fee dispute matter
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Ronnie!)
• Refused to provide client with itemized statement of work performed
• Failed to refund unearned fees to client

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Ronnie’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to respond to discovery request from opposing counsel
• Failed to advise client that she needed to respond to discovery request
• Failed to advise client that opposing counsel filed motion to compel her to respond to discovery requests
• Failed to advise client that court imposed sanctions against her for failing to respond to opposing counsel’s discovery requests
• Failed to withdraw representation of client as required
• Was less then forthcoming [shaded the truth] in response to ethics investigators

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. November 2014) Ronnie practices with the King Law Group PLLC in Roxboro, North Carolina.
