Attorney Shawn Rice of Grafton, WI; lying loser

The state of Wisconsin presented Shawn G. Rice with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Shawn guilty of the following misconduct.

·        Executed offer to purchase in which buyer was falsely represented as being member of limited liability company

·        Falsely testified in deposition in civil matter that he had consulted with environmental attorney after receipt of Phase II environmental report on property

·        Falsely testified that another attorney was aware of an agreement with a potential buyer

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Shawn by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Because Attorney Misfits in Wisconsin are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Shawn was never criminally charged for perjury.
