Attorney James Ermert of Racine, WI; liar, serial offender

The state of Wisconsin presented James J. Ermert with a law license in 1962 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

·        Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

·        Lied to client that hearings in her divorce case had been scheduled

·        Failed to respond to client requests for information

·        Faield to provide accurate information (lied) re: status of matter to client

·        Failed to timely file quite claim deeds re: client’s divorce case

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Jimmy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received three (3) complimentary reprimands and two (2) suspensions of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2014), Jimmy practices with the James J. Ermert Law Office at 1661 Douglas Avenue in Racine, Wisconsin.
