Attorney Walter Gerhardt of Bossier City, LA; ethical misfit

The state of Louisiana presented Walter William Gerhardt with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Walt guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Walt by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year stayed suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Walt.

As we speak (ca) November 2014) Walt practices with Walter W. Gerhardt APLC at 915 Barksdale Blvd in Bossier City, Louisiana.
