Attorney Kenneth Faw of Connersville, IN; ethical elf

The state of Indiana provided Kenneth Duane Faw with a law license in 1988.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Kenny guilty of the following misconduct.

While employed as an assistant prosecutor for Fayette County, the husband of an employee of Kenny’s office was arrested for theft of mental pipes which he then sold to a scrap yard.

The arresting officer then prepared an affidavit of probable cause and a report, which was delivered to the prosecutor’s office. Kenny failed to petition the trial court for the appointment of a special prosecutor to handle the case due to his obvious conflict of interest.

Rather than act in accordance with his oath of office and have the matter transferred to a special prosecutor, Kenny told his staff that he would personally handle the matter. He then spoke to the arresting officer, which led to the criminal charges being dropped.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2014) Kenny practices at 401 Central Avenue in Connersville, Indiana.
