Today’s “Bullshit” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Darrell. In the past, he has been the recipient of five (5) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

In a never ending effort to prove that he is one of America’s Premier Morons, Lunatics and Aspiring Standup Comedian, Darrell decided to jump on the Ebola virus bandwagon. Towards that end, Darrell recently (October 2014) presided over a Congressional hearing to allegedly evaluate the American response to the Ebola outbreak.

During the hearing, Darrell scoffed at the calm approach by the CDC (Center for Disease Control), opining that U.S. medical offices were flailing in the dark and that their ignorance could prove deadly.

Dr. Issa went on to feign outrage at the response so far that led to two nurses becoming infected in Texas by comparing Ebola, which documented evidence proves can only be transmitted by contact with bodily fluids of a person with Ebola symptoms, to the infamous outbreaks of highly contagious flue in the past.

Dr. Issa then went on to say:

• The Spanish flu “claimed at least 20 million people.”
• “It would be a major mistake to underestimate what Ebola could do to populations around the world, and any further fumbles, bumbles or missteps, or relying on postulates, certainties, told to us by people who in fact cannot defend how that certainty came to be, and, when it fails to be correct, how they could have been so wrong, can no longer tolerated.”

Dr. Issa concluded his comedy routine with the following warning.

• “I look forward to hearing from this panel of witnesses in an effort not to solve a problem, but to take the problem appropriately seriously, and recognize what we don't know could kill us.”

Luckily for Darrell and those of his ilk (By the way Darrell, Ilk isn’t defined as a Male Elk) ignorance isn’t likely to kill anyone.

And lastly, it is comforting to know that we have a high school dropout who has the necessary medical training to protect us from those medical experts with doctoral degrees working for the CDC.

Congrats Dr. Issa; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bullshitters”; you are far too humble.
