The state of New Jersey presented Michael P. Otto with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Ethics found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly oversee law firm trust account
• Negligence led to partner repeatedly misappropriating (stealing) trust account funds
• Failed to comply with recordkeeping requirements

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. November 2014), Mike practices with the Law Office of Michael P. Otto LLC in Piscataway, New Jersey, which is located in Middlesex County.
