Attorney Francis Discala Jr. of Norwalk, CT; ethical elf

The state of Connecticut presented Francis Joseph Discala Jr. with a law license in 1989.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Francis guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to advise client to seek independent attorney advice
• Failed to reduce settlement agreement to writing
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Issued subpoena without proper signature

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Francis by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
