Attorney Stanley Barnett of Maryville, TN; crook, repeater

The state of Tennessee provided Stanley R. Barnett with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Stan guilty of the following misconduct.

Stan’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with court orders
• Failed to refund unearned fees (crook)
• Failed to appear at scheduled court hearings
• Neglected client’s case
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to return client’s file after being fired
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Stanley!)
• Failed to notify client of prior suspension of law license

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Stan by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

Stan’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to file motion for new trial on client’s behalf
• Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
• Filed inappropriate appellate brief on client’s behalf
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Stan by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2014) Stan practices at 118 Parliament Drive in Maryville, Tennessee.
