Attorney Arlo Smith of San Francisco; ethical dwarf
The state of California provided Arlo Hale Smith with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of California Hastings Law School in San Francisco.
The California State Bar Court found Arlo of the following misconduct.
- Filed an unjustified (sham) action misrepresenting (lying) about a woman’s stake in the defendant’s company
- As a result of Tommy sham action and lies, he and his clients were sanctioned $10,000
- Failed to pay the court-ordered $10,000 sanction
- Failed to report $10,000 sanction to State Bar as required
- Filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy petition when he knew that the partnership did not qualify for Chapter 13 relief
As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Arlo by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. October 2014) Arlo practices at 106 Crespi Drive in San Francisco, California.
