Attorney Michael Tafoya of Maricopa; ethical goblin
The state of Arizona presented Michael G. Tafoya with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Arizona State University Law School.
The Arizona State Bar found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to maintain current address with State Bar as required
- Failed to comply with court scheduling order
- Obstructed opposing party’s attempt to comply with court scheduling order
- Asserted issue wherein there wasn’t a good faith basis in law or fact
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Failed to communicate with client
- Failed to expedite litigation
- Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
As we speak (ca. October 2014) Mike practices in the Maricopa, Arizona area.
Warning: Mike doesn’t carry legal malpractice insurance
