Attorney Eric Sparks of Tucson; ethical gremlin

The state of Arizona presented Eric Slocum Sparks with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

The Arizona State Bar found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Victims were vulnerable re: misconduct
  • Failed to provide accounting of funds
  • Violated his duties and obligations as an attorney
  • Failed to safeguard client property
  • Distributed funds w/o client authorization or court approval
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to return client phone calls

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2014) Eric practices at 110 South Church Street in Tucson, Arizona.
