Attorney Bert Roos of Phoenix; repeat offender

 

The state of Arizona presented Bert L. Roos with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the Arizona State University Law School.

 

The Arizona State Bar found Bert guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Bert’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

 

  • Wrote checks on account without sufficient funds (rubber)
  • Failed to retain balance of client settlement funds in client trust account
  • Allowed trust account balance to fall below amount need to pay medical providers
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Bert by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license. 

 

Bert’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

 

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Charged a clearly excessive fee (crook)
  • Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being discharged
  • Failed to expedite litigation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Bert by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. October 2014) Bert practices at 5045 North 12th Street in Phoenix, Arizona.
