Attorney Cole Sorenson of Phoenix; ethical leprechaun
The state of Arizona presented Cole D. Sorenson with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of New Arizona Law School.
The Arizona State Bar found Cole guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to consult with client so client could make informed decisions re: representation
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Failed to communicate with client
- Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
- Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being discharged
- Failed to expedite litigation
- Failed to treat opposing counsel fairly
- Knowingly disobeyed obligation owed to a tribunal
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
- Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Michael!)
- Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Cole by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
As we speak (ca. October 2014) Cole practices with The Law Office of Cole D. Sorenson PLLC at 1411 North Third Street in Phoenix, Arizona.
