Attorney Byron Goff Jr. of Phoenix; ethical misfit

The state of Arizona presented Bryon H. Goff Jr. with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Arizona State University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Byron guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Wrote checks with insufficient funds (rubber)
  • Failed to properly identify trust accounts
  • Did not retain register transactions for trust accounts
  • Failed to maintain individual client trust accounts as required
  • Paid bar dues, landlord and wife from attorney trust account

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Byron by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2014) Byron practices at 11811 North Tatum Blvd in Phoenix, Arizona.

Warning: Byron doesn’t carry legal malpractice insurance
