Attorney Peter Meisner of River Ridge, LA; ethical elf

The state of Louisiana presented Peter M Meisner with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the Louisiana State University (LSU).

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep disputed funds in separate trust account as required
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to act with candor towards tribunal
  • Was untruthful when dealing with others
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to safeguard client property

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2013) Pete practices at 267 Garden Road in River Ridge, Louisiana.
