Attorney Jerold Barringer of Nokomis, IL; lying loser

The state of Illinois presented Jerold Wayne Barringer with a law license in 1983.

The Disciplinary Commission found Jerold guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jerold filed a motion to substitute a judge that contained statements that he knew or should have known were false.

Jerrold specifically made erroneous statements regarding the judge's application for a loan and further alleged that the judge had conducted an ex parte interview with his client’s son when, in fact, no such interview had ever taken place.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Jerold by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
