The state of Illinois presented Christina Gilbert-Manuel with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from Southern Illinois University Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Christina guilty of the following misconduct.

Christina found it acceptable to pay approximately $30,000 to a non-attorney financial planner for referring estate planning clients to her.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Christina by gifting her with a complimentary censure.
